A huge congratulations to Peter Bell to be one of only sixty students in Australia to be selected and invited to take part for the digIT program due to his exemplary maths skills.

Students are invited based on their performance in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). The Australian Mathematics Competition is one of the world’s largest school-based mathematics competitions with more than 14 million entries since 1978.

Peter Bell's AMC results were stellar and so good that he was among the top 60 students in Australia.

digIT is a six-month program that combines two residential camps and a mentoring program, for year 8 and 9 students with an interest in ICT. Central to these camps will be the development of algorithmic thinking and coding skills. In a fun and supportive environment, the students will grow in confidence and ability whilst expanding their critical thinking, programming and problem-solving skills. They will make new friends, be exposed to outstanding role models, practise new skills, and deepen their understanding of what their future may hold in the field of ICT.

Congratulations to Peter Bell from the Cobden Technical School community.
