Cobden Technical School’s highest scoring VCE students were Amy Veenstra, Molly Hutt and Georgia McDonald. This capped off a highly successful year for Amy who was both school captain and our 2018 dux. Amy was the top student in Biology, English and Physical Education. Both Molly and Georgia were also school leaders.

Our students have successfully gained ATAR scores that will allow them to access further study in a range of tertiary courses. Students will soon be pursuing careers in the following areas: zoology and animal science, sport management, business, teaching, agricultural science, nursing, tourism and hospitality, early childhood studies, marine biology, criminal justice and criminology. They are now awaiting confirmation of offers, which will occur anytime from now up until mid-January.

At Cobden Technical School we place equal emphasis on the three parallel senior school pathways of VCE, VET and VCAL. Through the educational opportunities our school offers, all graduating students have been able to achieve their personal goals related to further study, training and employment. A number of our graduating students have already successfully gained apprenticeships for 2019, the first step to future careers in hospitality, electrotechnology, automotive and building.
